DEP Expands Small Business Advantage Grants To Farm Conservation Projects

The Department of Environmental Protection has expanded its Small Business Advantage Grant Program to assist agricultural businesses install natural resource conservation projects.

Projects that prevent soil erosion or decrease sediment/nutrient runoff into nearby streams will be eligible for funding for the first time.

$1,000,000 is available for all projects. The maximum grant award for natural-resource protection projects is $9,500. The grants match up to 50 percent of the equipment/material costs. Eligible applications are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are used.

The application period should be opening soon.
