PASA: Northeast Cover Crop Council Annual Conference Nov. 15-16 In State College
Photo

The PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture and Penn State University will host the 2018 Northeast Cover Crops Council Conference on November 15-16 at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in State College.

The benefits of cover crops are wide ranging—from decreased soil erosion and tighter nutrient cycling that can reduce the amount (and cost) of fertilizer, to increased soil organic matter and crop resilience during seasons with challenging weather conditions.

Farmers, students, researchers, extension educators, government and industry representatives, and others will gather to talk and learn about all things cover crop-related.

Sessions will focus on soil health, no-till cover crop practices, pest management, over crop mixtures, harvesting cover crops for forage, and more.

To register and for more information, visit the Northeast Cover Crops Council Conference event webpage.

For more information on programs, initiatives and other educational opportunities, visit the PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture website.
