Dauphin County Woodland Owners To Hold Annual Conference March 9

Private woodland owners are encouraged to attend the Dauphin County Woodland Owners Association’s 9th Annual Woodland Owner’s Conference on March 9 at the Dauphin County Agricultural & Natural Resources Center, 1451 Peters Mountain Road in Dauphin from 8:30 to 3:15. The day-long conference will provide private forest landowners with forest management strategies to promote sustainable forestry. Topics include: Pest and disease, Timber management, Invasive species control, Timber stand improvement, Habitat management for wildlife, and Forest health issues. This program is free and open to the public with an optional catered lunch available for $10 payable at registration.
