The House Tourism and Recreational Development Committee is scheduled to hold an informational meeting on March 19 to hear a presentation from the PA Parks and Forests Foundation on their 2018 infrastructure repair needs report. On January 28, the Parks and Forests Foundation released the “The Legacy of Pennsylvania Parks and Forests: The Future is in Our Hands” report documenting the need for hundreds of millions of dollars in maintenance and replacement work to keep state parks and forests safe and accessible to the public. In her House and Senate budget hearings, DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn has said there is a $1 billion backlog of maintenance projects in parks and forests. The meeting will be held in Room 205 of the Ryan Office Building starting at 9:00. Committee meetings are typically webcast through the House Republican Caucus website. Rep.
