Bills Introduced The following bills of interest were introduced last week-- Fish & Boat Commission Fees: House Bill 808 (Mehaffie-R-Dauphin) authorizing the Fish and Boat Commission to adopt its own fees for 3 years (sponsor summary). DEP Authority To Regulate Groundwater Withdrawals: House Bill 804 (Moul-R-Adams) authorize DEP to regulate withdrawals of groundwater [which it does not have now] and with the aim of taking that authority away from the Susquehanna River Basin Commission and requires any groundwater regulations adopted by DEP to be submitted first to the Senate and House Environmental Committees for approval before the regulations could be promulgated (sponsor summary).
