Cook Forest to Host Wetlands Delineation Workshop for Teachers

Cook Forest State Park will hold a wetland delineation teacher workshop for ACT 48 credits in conjunction with North Central Region Math/Science Education Collaborative on August 9.

The workshop will take place in the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom in Cook Forest State Park. Activities will also include a hands-on application in delineating wetlands through the use of plants, soil, and hydrology.

All participants will receive a copy of “In Search of Swampland: A Wetland Sourcebook and Field Guide” by Ralph W. Tiner. The cost of the workshop is $60.
