The USDA-ARS Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Research Unit at University Park, PA will feature a research tour on growing switchgrass for renewable energy each afternoon during Ag Progress Days -August 15, 16, 17.

Featured topics include crop rotations for bioenergy, soil carbon sequestration under switchgrass, and environmental benefits of switchgrass for bioenergy. Participants in this one-hour tour will see long-term research sites, herbicide control plots, and variety trials.
