PA Federation Of Sportsmen & Conservationists Name Harold Daub Executive Director

On April 4, the PA Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists Board of Directors welcomed Harold Daub as the incoming Executive Director for PFSC. Daub will take over all the duties required of the PFSC Executive Director, including Government Affairs, April 8. Daub was selected through the PFSC Board of Directors Search Committee application and interview process. The vote to secure Harold Daub as Executive Director was unanimous. He comes to the organization with extensive knowledge of conservation and wildlife management issues. His experience and background in developing and implementing business and organizational growth models will be instrumental to the PA Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists. “We look forward to Executive Director Daub leading us into the next chapter of the organization's history,” said PFSC President Dennis Fillmore. “I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” said Executive Director Harold Daub. “Conservation organizations in general are in a very challenging time. It will be my personal task to make sure the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists leads the way to success as we protect our outdoor heritage, our resources, and our 2nd Amendment rights. I am anxious to use my leadership skills and extensive conservation related volunteer experience to accomplish the PFSC mission. “As Executive Director for PFSC, I will strive to make the right decisions by seeking out subject-matter experts, taking input from others and learning from past mistakes,” said Daub. “I will do everything within my power to build a strong grassroots coalition of Pennsylvania conservation clubs, organizations and individuals. I look forward to being on the front lines in Harrisburg so our members can be in the woods, on the water, or at the range.” Daub is widely known and respected among sportsmen and conservation organizations within the state of Pennsylvania. His most recent success comes with leading Hunters United for Sunday Hunting grassroots efforts to remove the prohibition on Sunday hunting and provide full regulatory authority to the Game Commission. Through the commitment of HUSH members, Daub has allied over 20 conservation organizations and thousands of individuals to help influence and bring the recent historic legislative advancement of Senate Bill 147 (Laughlin-R-Erie), the private lands use legislation that would remove the barrier to Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania while also strengthening trespass laws.
