Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits.

Regulations -----------------------

The Environmental Quality Board published notice in the April 13 PA Bulletin inviting comments on proposed increases in Air Quality Permit Review Fees.  (PA Bulletin, page 1777) The Board is proposing a total increase of $12.6 million in Air Quality fees for the federal Title V-- $5.9 million-- and state non-Title V-- $6.7 million-- permit fees.  Three public hearings are scheduled.  Click Here for more background.

Technical Guidance -------------------

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 13 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a new General Permit for the Reclamation of Forfeited Noncoal Mines (GP-106).  Click Here for more background.

DEP published notice in the April 13 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a draft Tohickon Creek Stream Evaluation Report developed in response to a petition by the Tinicum Conservancy to reevaluate the designation of the creek.  Click Here for more background.

DEP published notice in the April 13 PA Bulletin of bond rate guidelines for the calculation of land reclamation bonds for coal mining operations.

DEP published notice in the April 13 PA Bulletin of changes to the list of companies certified to perform radon-related activities (PA Bulletin, page 1852).

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources published 2 notices of submerged land leases for oil and gas development in the April 13 PA Bulletin covering 124.4 acres for $496,800.  Click Here for more background.

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notices in the April 13 PA Bulletin on actions take at the March meeting; projects approved in February; and projects rescinded in February.
