On May 7, the Senate Game and Fisheries Committee amended and reported out Senate Bill 552 (Stefano-R-Fayette) to authorize the Game Commission to set its own license fees. The amendment was to change the period during which it would set its own fees from 5 to 3 years to match similar legislation for the Fish and Boat Commission. The Committee also reported out Senate Bill 553 (Stefano-R-Fayette) to authorize the Fish and Boat Commission to sets its own license fees for 3 years (sponsor summary). This bill is similar to House Bill 808 (Mehaffie-R-Dauphin) authorizing the Fish and Boat Commission to adopt their own license fees for 3 years (House Fiscal Note and summary) the Committee reported out on April 30 and now on the Senate Calendar. Last session the Senate passed legislation allows both Commissions to adopt their own license fees. The Senate Bills are now also on the Senate Calendar. Sen.
