The Land Conservancy of Adams County recently partnered with Phil and Barb Wolf to preserve their 142-acre farm just a short distance from the Gettysburg National Battlefield Park boundary. Straddling both sides of Willoughby Run Road in Cumberland Township, open fields of this farm as well as views of South Mountain’s ridgeline can be seen in the distance. The farmhouse served as a Confederate hospital during the Civil War and was the home of David Plank, father of hometown hero Eddie.
