Ever had a question about how to access the River Walk in Williamsport? Do you know the parks and resources along the corridor? Did you know that the River Walk connects to an additional 5+ miles of trail?

Answers these questions and learn more about the connected trails of the greater Williamsport area at the inaugural River Valley Ride on September 28!

In celebration of PA Trails Month, the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership and its partners invite you to discover the unique trail network that connects the communities of Williamsport, South Williamsport, Loyalsock Township, and Montoursville.

This 10.5-mile, easy bike ride will begin in Montourville's Indian Park and end at the South Williamsport Community Park.

Along the way, you will learn about the parks, trail extensions, amenities, and more from our volunteers.

At the end of the ride, participants will have opportunities to enjoy lunch from the South Williamsport Lions Club, receive a complimentary frozen treat, and explore information booths from area trail, conservation, biking outfitters, and health organizations.

“This event will serve to highlight the health benefits of the local trails and familiarize the community with the connected bike paths located right in their backyard,” says SGP Executive Director Corey Ellison. “Our goal is to provide the tools necessary for the public to be able to access and enjoy these trails on their own, beyond this single-day event.”

The River Valley Ride is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend. For younger children unable to bike the entire 10.5 miles, there will be a 1-mile children's ride and bike rodeo at the South Williamsport Park.

Tickets are just $5 for the full ride and $3 for the children’s bike rodeo. An event water bottle will also be available for purchase to commemorate your ride.

This inaugural event is sure to fill up fast, so don’t wait.

The Susquehanna Greenway is a corridor of connected trails, parks, river access points, and communities, linking people to the natural and cultural treasures of the Susquehanna River.

The mission of the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership is to continue to grow the Greenway, inspiring people to engage with the outdoors and transforming communities into places where people want to live, work, and explore.
