DEP Invites Comments On Proposed Water Quality Certification For Leidy South Pipeline Project Thru 6 Counties From Clinton To Schuylkill

The Department of Environmental Protection invites comments on a proposed Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the Leidy South Natural Gas Pipeline Project running through Clinton, Lycoming, Wyoming, Luzerne, Columbia and Schuylkill County. (Sept. 28 PA Bulletin page 5638) The Project, as proposed, includes approximately 8.7- mile-long, 36-inch discontinuous pipeline, 3.5-mile-long, 42-inch pipeline, two new compressor stations, modifications at two existing compressor stations, and associated ancillary facilities to transport natural gas from northern and western Pennsylvania to Transco’s Zone 6, which includes portions of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland.
