DEP Invites Comments On State Air Quality Plan Certification Of Previously Approved Emission Control Regulations

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 5 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a proposed State Air Quality Implementation Plan revision related to certification of previously approved emission control regulations covering the Philadelphia - Wilmington - Atlantic City region. The certification statement is being required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. DEP has scheduled 3 public hearings on the proposed revision for-- -- November 5: DEP Southeast Regional Office, 2 East Main Street, Norristown. 10:00; -- November 6: DEP Southwest Regional Office, 500 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh. 1:00; and -- November 6: DEP Southcentral Regional Office, 909 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg. 1:00. If by noon on November 1 no one has expressed interest in testifying at a hearing, the hearing will be canceled. Click Here for information on the status of a hearing.
