The French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust invites all environmental enthusiasts and history lovers to join us on October 13 at 9:00 a.m. for our monthly Second Sunday Hike at the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve, home to historic Warwick Furnace Ruins in Chester County.

French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust’s president Penny Hunt will be leading a historic tour through the preserve, and through various buildings at the site of the Warwick Furnace Ruins. As a backbone to the early economic development of Chester County, the Iron Furnace Industry is rich with historic and cultural significance.

For the most accurate directions, set your GPS to Warwick Furnace Rd. & Valley Way Rd. Glenmoore, PA 19343. Parking is available at the preserve lot, and along Valley Way Rd.

Participants will meet by the kiosk at 9:00 a.m. to begin our program. Please bring water and wear sturdy shoes, as the trail and the ruins are rocky.

To RSVP please email to: mfarley@frenchandpickering.org.
