Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful invites you to take part in America Recycles Day-- November 15-- and take the pledge to increase your recycling efforts. America Recycles Day, a Keep America Beautiful initiative, recognizes the economic, environmental and social benefits of recycling, while providing an educational platform that helps raise awareness about the value of reducing, reusing and recycling – every day. “We invite all Pennsylvanian’s to take the pledge and continue to be mindful of how our waste is handled 365 days a year, whether it’s at school, home or whole communities,” said Shannon Reiter, President of Keep PA Beautiful. “Recycling helps protect our environment by saving natural resources such as trees, water and minerals and reduces the amount of waste sent to our landfills.
