PA Land Trust Assn. Requests Comments On Model Amendment Of Conservation Easement & Declaration Of Covenants

The PA Land Trust Association is developing a Model Amendment of Grant of Conservation Easement and Declaration of Covenants and welcomes suggestions for improvements to the first public drafts of the model and commentary (the sooner the better).

Reviewers are also encouraged to suggest examples of potential amendments that could be addressed in the commentary.

PALTA noted oftentimes when a change to an easement is desired, it makes sense to both amend and restate the easement document to ensure that the easement is backed by the most modern, effective form and provisions possible.

Sometimes, however, a simple, straightforward amendment is the best path forward. This new model seeks to address this situation.
