Senate/House Bills Moving Last Week

The following bills of interest saw action last week in the House and Senate--

House

Vehicle Emissions Inspection: Senate Bill 742 (Ward-R-Westmoreland) exempts vehicles from emissions testing for 8 years after the date of manufacture so long as this change meets the requirements of federal law was amended and reported out of the House Transportation Committee and referred to the House Appropriations Committee.

Drinking Water Regulation In Food Establishments: House Bill 1971 (Day-R-Lehigh) eliminating DEP regulation of bottled water facilities that hold a restaurant license regardless of size of container (sponsor summer) and  House Bill 1972 (Day-R-Lehigh) requiring restaurant license holders to follow Safe Drinking Water Act requirements for water sources (sponsor summary) were reported out of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and Tabled.

World Habitat Day: House Resolution 442 (Schlegel Culver-R-Northumberland) recognizing October 7, 2019 as World Habitat Day was adopted by the House (sponsor summary).
