On December 18, Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Jefferson) announced the appointment of Sen. John Yudichak (I-Luzerne) as a member of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy and other Senate Committees. Sen. Yudichak had served as Minority Chair of the Senate Environmental Committee before he became an Independent. “My new Senate committee assignments reflect the importance Senator Scarnati and Senator Corman have placed on having the voices of northeastern Pennsylvania heard in the Pennsylvania State Senate,” said Sen. Yudichak. “I have served on the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee my entire career in the state legislature, and with organizations like the Earth Conservancy and the North Branch Land Trust, we have been able to be good stewards of the environment while also investing in responsible economic development that has created thousands of new jobs," Sen. Yudichak added. Sen. Yudichak will also serve as a member of the Senate Rules and Executive Nominations, Finance and Labor and Industry Committees.
