DCNR Signs Submerged Land Lease Under Allegheny River For Gas Development For $1,162,800 In Armstrong County

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources executed an addition to a 2016 lease agreement in May with Snyder Brothers, Inc. for 290.7 acres of submerged lands under the Allegheny River in East Franklin, Rayburn and Kittanning Townships, Armstrong County .(Jan. 4 PA Bulletin)

The lease authorizes development of oil and natural gas solely by means of directional, including horizontal, drilling on a nondevelopment basis that will not disturb the river or its bed.

Snyder  Brothers, Inc. will pay DCNR $1,162.800 to lease the additional submerged lands.
