DCNR Reminder: Community Conservation Partnership, Rivers Conservation Grants; ATV & Snowmobile Trail Project Grants Opening Shortly

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will shortly be opening grant application periods for its Conservation Partnership Grants-- January 15, and its ATV and Snowmobile Trail Project Grants-- February 3. Conservation Partnership Grants DCNR will begin accepting applications for Community Conservation Partnership Grants on January 15. The deadline for applications is April 22. (formal notice) Community Conservation Partnerships Program grants can fund: -- Planning, acquisition, and development of public parks -- Recreation areas -- Motorized and non-motorized trails -- River conservation, access, riparian forest buffer, water trail management -- Conservation of open space -- Grants also support regional and statewide partnerships that build capacity to better develop and manage resources. The webinars will be held on-- -- January 29: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Click Here to register. This webinar is designed for potential applicants who were not able to attend one of the statewide grant workshops during fall of 2019 or those that would like additional information on DCNR’s grant program for funding for local community-based public recreation and conservation projects. Participants will receive an overview of the grant program, overview of DCNR’s new grant evaluation systems, eligible types of projects and applicants, matching fund requirements, and strategies on how to create a “ready-to-go” competitive grant application. -- February 19: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Click Here to register. This webinar is designed for those interested in obtaining grant funding to support public recreation, conservation, or heritage initiatives across a statewide or regional landscape. Partnerships program project categories include convening, education, and training; special purpose planning; implementation; and mini-grant programs. This webinar will provide a general partnerships program overview to include eligible project activities, funding sources, matching requirements, and strategies on how to create a competitive grant application. ATV & Snowmobile Trails DCNR will begin accepting applications for ATV and Snowmobile Trail Grants on February 3. The deadline for applications is March 31.
