DEP Issues Permits To Sunoco For Changes To Mariner East II Pipeline Construction In Blair, Perry Counties; 2nd Pipeline In Berks County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the February 22 PA Bulletin it has approved Chapter 105 Water Obstruction and Encroachment Permits for the Mariner East II Pipeline in Blair and Perry counties (PA Bulletin page 1165).

The Blair County amendment covers the installation and maintenance of approximately 23.5 miles of 20-inch pipeline and a second 16-inch pipeline in Allegheny, Blair, Frankstown, Juniata, and Woodbury townships, Blair County.

The Perry County amendment involves the installation and maintenance of approximately 10.4 miles of 20-inch pipeline and a second 16-inch pipeline in Toboyne and Jackson townships.

In a separate action, DEP issued a Chapter 105 Water Obstruction and Encroachment Permit for a Sunoco pipeline in Berks County (PA Bulletin page 1164).

The Berks County amendment covers a separate pipeline and includes the installation and maintenance of approximately 20.4 miles of 20-inch pipeline and a second 16-inch pipeline in Cumru Township.
