The Pocono Heritage Land Trust is seeking volunteers for invasive species removal work days in April and May in Monroe County.

Spring is on the way, and many of us are eager to get outdoors to reunite with greenery and nature.

What better way to explore and become familiar with PHLT Nature Preserves, enjoy blooming native flowers, learn about invasive plants, and help us keep local ecosystems as healthy as they can be!

The work days are scheduled for--

-- April 15: Pocono Creek/Learn Preserves in Tannersville. Pocono Creek: 9:00 a.m. to Noon and at Learn Preserve: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

-- April 30: Fieldstone/Kurmes Preserves in Cresco. Fieldstone Farm: 9:00 a.m. to Noon and at Kurmes Preserve: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

-- May 7: Pomeroy/Glen Run Preserves in Stroudsburg. Pomeroy Preserve: 9:00 a.m. to Noon and at Glen Run Preserve 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

-- May 13: Pocono Creek/Learn Preserves in Tannersville. Pocono Creek: 9:00 a.m. to Noon and at Learn Preserve 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
