CANCELED: Senate Appropriations Committee Holds Hearing On Pipeline Investment Program March 24

CANCELED Due To Coronavirus Concerns: The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Infrastructure, Environment and Government Operation is scheduled to hold a hearing on the Pipeline Investment Program on March 24.

The Pipeline Investment Program, administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, provides grants to construct the last few miles of natural gas lines to businesses, parks, and existing manufacturing and industrial enterprises, which will result in the creation of new jobs in the commonwealth while providing access to natural gas for residents.

Applicants eligible for PIPE funding include businesses, economic development organizations, hospitals, municipalities, and school districts.

The meeting will be held in Hearing Room 1 in the North Office Building starting at 9:00 a.m.  Committee hearings are frequently webcast live on the Senate Republican webpage.
