April 2 DEP Hearing On Air Permits For Sunoco Terminal In Delaware County CANCELED
|
On March 17, the Department of Environmental canceled an April 2 hearing to gather public input regarding its intent to issue two draft Air Quality Plan Approvals to Sunoco Partners Marketing & Terminals, L.P. (SPMT) for the Marcus Hook Industrial Complex in Marcus Hook Borough, Delaware County. The first of the two draft Plan Approvals, 23-0119E, would aggregate the emissions from previously approved Plan Approvals and one new Plan Approval. This was done as a result of a ruling from the Environmental Hearing Board. The second Draft Plan Approval open for comment, 23-0119J, refers to what SPMT is calling ‘Project Phoenix’ and would allow for the installation of new equipment to upgrade, chill, store and move ethane. Interested individuals are invited to submit written comments, suggestions, support, or objections regarding the draft Plan Approvals, which must be received by April 12, 2020, at 11:59 PM. Written comments should be mailed to the Air Quality Program, 2 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA, 19401. Comments may also be submitted online at: RA-epSEROaqpubcom@pa.gov with the subject designating which draft Plan Approval the comment is intended for. All comments, whether submitted in writing or delivered at hearings carry equal weight. Copies of the applications, review memos, and draft plan approvals are available for review online at DEP’s Southeast Regional Office Community Information webpage or as hard copies at the Mary M. Campbell Marcus Hook Public Library, 1015 Green Street, Marcus Hook, PA 19061.
