Lancaster Clean Water Partners recently announced it has selected a three member team of LandStudies, David Miller/Associates and Lancaster Farmland Trust to lead the implementation phase of Lancaster County’s Countywide Action Plan to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus pollution.

The team was selected after an RFP process in February.

To respect current COVID-19 health guidelines, the team will initially focus on honing in on data collection, gathering all the watershed plans, and prioritizing work in order for partners to be able to hit the ground running in the best places when they get the green light for field projects to begin again.

Lancaster County is responsible for reducing 21 percent of the nitrogen and 23 percent of the phosphorus pollution needed to meet Chesapeake Bay Watershed cleanup milestones.

The Countywide Action Plan was developed through a locally-driven planning process that involved lots of different stakeholders in the process.
