The PA Horticultural Society and the Philadelphia Free Library are hosting a special Earth Day 50 webinar on April 20 on How Grassroots Activism  Became Part Of Our National Consciousness from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

What is Earth Day? How and when did it start? Why is it as important today as it was in 1970?  

From rumblings among scientists and beatniks, to ground-breaking legislation, trace the history of Earth Day with Michael LoFurno, of Temple University.​
