The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is reopening some State Park and Forest facilities in Yellow Phase areas consistent with Gov. Wolf’s COVID-19 reopening plan.

Twenty-four counties are now in the Yellow Phase-- Bradford, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lycoming, McKean, Mercer, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, Venango, and Warren. Read more here.

All DCNR lands including trails, lakes, rivers, streams, forests, roads, and parking areas are accessible statewide for recreation; however, the availability of facilities such as bathrooms, offices, and campgrounds varies.

Online Map

DCNR has an online map showing you what state park and forest facilities are open by county. The map will be updated when counties move from one phase to another.

All playgrounds, nature play areas, interpretive wings of visitor centers, amphitheaters, organized group tenting, group cabin camps, classroom facilities, meeting rooms, and pavilion reservations will be closed until a county moves into the “green phase” per Pennsylvania’s reopening plan.

All programs, events, and large gatherings at state parks and forests in counties that are designated red are canceled through June 15.

Based on availability, organizers will have the option to reschedule later in the year. No new reservations for these activities are being taken.

In counties designated yellow, any events with more than 25 people will be canceled. If the event is under 25 people and outdoors it will be allowed to occur, however any indoor events will be canceled.
