The Susquehanna River Basin Commission YouTube Channel is now featuring the first of a three part series on the Billmeyer Quarry Water Storage Project in Lancaster County.

Part one of the series provides a brief history of the quarry site, an overview of SRBC’s project planning and implementation process, and introduces viewers to the discovery of invasive quagga mussels that threatened to bring efforts on this multi-year project to a halt.

Introduced in Part 1 are Pierre MaCoy, a hydrogeologist in the Planning & Operations program, Ellyn Campbell, Supervisor of Monitoring & Assessment, and Aquatic Biologist Brianna Hutchison, who were instrumental in the fight to eradicate the quaggas and keep the project moving forward.
