2006 “The Future of Water in PA” Water Resources Symposium October 11

The Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists will hold its 2006 Water Resources Symposium on October 11 at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill, across the river from Harrisburg.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Robert Hirsch, Associate Director for Water, U.S. Geological Survey.

The symposium is intended to provide a forum for geologists, scientists, engineers, water professionals, attorneys, regulators and watershed groups to present their recent advances, ideas and experiences in water related topics.

Several tracks will be offered symposium participants: water quality, water availability, site investigations, water management, water treatment and water resource modeling.

Poster sessions, partner exhibits, sponsor exhibits and networking sessions will also be part of the program.

A feature panel presentation on Water, Policy and Practice, will include Drew Hadley, Global Environmental Manager The Procter & Gamble Company, Brian Hill, President & CEO Pennsylvania Environmental Council and John Hines, Director of DEP’s Water Planning Office.
