2006 Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Summit Set for September 20-21

Register now for the 2006 Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Summit in Harrisburg, which this year has the theme, “Enchanted Natural Wonder & Vibrant, Livable Communities!”

The Summit will feature two keynote speakers: Edwin Pinero, President Bush's Federal Environmental Executive and the former Deputy for Pollution Prevention and Compliance Assistance for the Department of Environmental Protection and DEP Secretary Kathleen McGinty.

Workshops will be held the first day on tools and resources available through the national Keep America Beautiful Network and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Alliance, brag and steal sessions about local anti-litter and beautification programs that work and learn about the 2007 KPB Litter Abatement Demonstration Project and how your community can participate.

The Summit will also feature a “State of the State” report by representatives of DEP, DCNR, DCED and PennDOT on how programs they offer can help communities with anti-litter and beautification projects.
