The PA Recreation & Park Society (PRPS) launched an initiative to build a community of park maintenance professionals, providing the latest tools, techniques, and strategies for efficient park maintenance to advance the capacity of public parks and recreation organizations.

Public parks and recreational green spaces bring important value to a community, from health and wellness benefits to driving economic growth and development. However, once a park opens, the need for ongoing maintenance remains -- and many public agencies lack the right resources to meet that need.

The Pennsylvania Park Maintenance Institute offers training, education, and research of practical and implementable services for park maintenance staff, including:

-- A library of templates and videos

-- A peer-to-peer discussion platform

-- Field days, hands-on training, and regional networking opportunities
