Westmoreland CleanWays & Recycling Temporarily Suspends Accepting Electronics Waste
Photo

On June 24, Westmoreland CleanWays and Recycling announced it will temporarily suspend accepting electronics waste for recycling at its Recycling Center at 355 Pleasant Unity Mutual Road in Greensburg.  (formal advisory)

They were informed one of the companies processing the material shut down due to a suspected COVID-19 infection.  The case did not occur locally, but it impacts their ability to ship material for recycling.

The suspension could last for no more than three weeks, but that is unpredictable.

Other Recycling Accepted

The Center is still accepting many other materials for recycling, including: glass containers, scrap metal, freon appliances, cardboard, newspaper, office paper, mixed paper, tires, lead acid batteries and fluorescent light bulbs.

There are no residency requirements and no limit on the amount of material that can be brought to the center.

Visit the Westmoreland CleanWays & Recycling website for all the details.  Questions should be directed to 724-879-4020 or send an email to: info@westmorelandcleanways.org
