Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits.

Regulations -----------------------

No new regulations were published this week.  Pennsylvania Bulletin - June 27, 2020

Technical Guidance -------------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the June 27 PA Bulletin of a proposed State Air Quality Implementation Plan revision covering submittal of all case-by-case Reasonable Available Control Technology Determinations and Averaging Plans related to Ozone Pollution Standard attainment.

DEP has scheduled a virtual public hearing [if needed] on July 30 at 1:00 p.m.  Persons wishing to present testimony should contact Amanda Rodriguez, P.O. Box 8468, Harrisburg, PA 17105, amarodrigu@pa.gov or 717-787-9702 to reserve a time.

Instructions on how to join the hearing will be published on DEP’s Bureau of Air Quality webpage.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the June 27 PA Bulletin that a new General Permit for the Reclamation of Forfeited Noncoal Mines (GP-106).

            The General Permit authorizes the extraction of noncoal minerals to facilitate the reclamation of sites that have previously been forfeited prior to reclamation.
