Lower West Branch Supports Record Number of Smallmouth Bass

Fish and Boat Commission Biologists conducted a night electrofishing survey on the lower West Branch Susquehanna River on the nights of July 24 and 25 to assess the smallmouth bass population.

Among their findings: the catch rate of smallmouth bass larger than 15 inches was the highest on recent record. Read the Field Biologists’ report online.
