PPL Awards Future Environmental Leaders Scholarships To 7 Students

PPL Utilities recently awarded $2,000 Future Environmental Leaders Scholarships to seven deserving high school seniors from around our service territory. These young adults are already passionate about protecting the world around them. They’re involved in environmental clubs at school. They volunteer. They advocate. Here’s a list of this year’s winners, along with their chosen colleges and majors-- -- Ethan T. Davies (Freedom High School, Northampton County); Penn State University; Environmental System Engineering (Region: Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks and Montgomery counties); -- Kayla Lincalis (Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences, Luzerne County); Bucknell University; Environmental Engineering (Region: Carbon, Schuylkill and Luzerne counties) -- Lenka M. Platt (Halifax High School, Dauphin County); Chatham University; Biology and Sustainability (Region: Dauphin, York and Cumberland counties) -- Ann M. Birmingham (Berks Catholic High School); Nova Southeastern University; Marine Biology (Region: Lancaster and Berks counties) -- Christian R. Dury (Honesdale High School, Wayne County); Penn State University; Chemical Engineering (Region: Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Wayne, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties) -- Rachel T.
