Visit the Clean Water Festival at the Pymatuning Waterfowl Expo

This year’s Pymatuning Waterfowl Expo will feature a Clean Water Festival Educational Area where everything is going to be “ducky!” The event will be held on September 16-17 in Linesville, Pa.

“Plans are set in motion for our best event ever!” said Brian Pilarcik of the Crawford County Conservation District. “The Clean Water Festival Committee has been working hard to bring tons of educational displays, programs and presentations to this year’s event.”

Test your skills at many interactive stations, visit the outdoor classroom events or listen to one of the many presentations at the Linesville State Fish Hatchery. Participants will also have the opportunity to make fish print t-shirts, paint with soils, as well as participate in lots of other interactive demonstrations.

Local experts will give stream talks, duck banding demonstrations, water safety dog demos, nature photography tips, tree ID tours, teach about wetlands and conservation art programs.

The event will also include a shoreline cleanup of Pymatuning Lake.

The Waterfowl Expo annually attracts between 3,000 to 5,000 participants

The Clean Water Festival section will be located at the Linesville State Fish Hatchery on Linesville/Hartstown Rd just south of Linesville. Traditional Waterfowl Expo displays will also be located at the Linesville High School, Downtown Linesville, and the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club.

Financial and other support for this project is provided by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. through a grant with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Section 319 Program, as well as a donation by Let’s Party Rentals.
