The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of technical guidance in the August 8 PA Bulletin on--

Draft For Comment: DEP ID: 383-4200-003. Title: Guidance on Notification Requirements for Spills, Discharges, and other Incidents of a Substance Causing or Threatening Pollution to Waters of the Commonwealth Under Pennsylvania's Clean Streams Law. Description: The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on the immediate notification requirements for spills, discharges and other incidents of a substance causing or threatening pollution to waters of this Commonwealth. 

Final: DEP ID: 800-0810-002. Title: Policy for the Replacement or Restoration of Private Water Supplies Impacted by Unconventional Operations. Description: This document provides guidance to well operators for ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to restoration and replacement of private water supplies adversely impacted by unconventional gas operations.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection will hold an August 25 Informal Conference On Glacial Sand & Gravel Permit Application Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County at 1:00 p.m. Contact Tom Decker at 814-573-3709 or thomadecke@pa.gov at least 24 hours in advance of the Conference to present testimony.  (August 8 PA Bulletin, 4091)

The State Board for Certification of Sewage Enforcement Officers has rescheduled certification exams previously scheduled for August 10 to September 28.  (formal notice)
