PA Parks & Forests Foundation Launches Campaign To Replace Fire Rings, Grills, Picnic Tables In Camping Areas During Unprecedented State Park & Forest Use
Photo

Fire rings, picnic tables, signage, lantern hooks, tent platforms and grills are all taking a real beating in State Parks and Forests from a 36 percent increase in usage this year during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is also a need for things like aggregate to repair flood-damaged tent sites and parking lots and lumber to repair buildings and structures.

In response to these unprecedented needs, the PA Parks and Forests Foundation has launched a campaign where donors can sponsor individual items or make a general contribution toward these items through a GoFundMe webpage.

Proceeds from these donations will go directly to fund equipment to improve camping experiences in State Parks and Forests.

The Foundation and their 46 chapters mobilize 65,000 volunteers annually to steward YOUR state parks and forests.
