50th Annual Wissahickon Creek Cleanup Sept. 12 In Philadelphia

The pandemic might have delayed us but it won’t stop us from cleaning up the Wissahickon Creek.  Volunteer now for the 50th Annual Wissahickon Creek Clean Up will be held on September 12 starting at 9:00 a.m.

This is the perfect outdoor event to show your support and love for a clean Wissahickon watershed, while keeping safely physically distant from others.

All volunteers are pre-assigned to sections of the Creek, its tributaries and the trail.  Each section lists the clean-up location, how many cars can park there and the number of recommended volunteers.

All volunteers are required to wear masks and keep at least the recommended 6-foot distance from other volunteers not in your household group.

The Wissahickon Valley Park and trail have seen significant increases in activity since the pandemic has begun and overcrowding and litter has been an issue.
