Stroud Water Research Center Hosts Nov. 10 Webinar On Stream And Buffer Ecology

The Chester County-based Stroud Water Research Center will host a November 10 webinar on Stream and Buffer Ecology from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The morning session agenda includes--

-- Introduction to Stream Ecology and Links to Riparian Forests-- David Wise.

-- Video of restoration elements at the Stroud Center and White Clay Creek

-- Watershed Restoration with Aquatic Insects as Our Guide-- John Jackson, Ph.D.

-- Buffer Planting and Establishment 101 – Best Practices for Success-- Lamonte Garber

The afternoon session includes--

-- Soil Health – Releasing Soil’s Biological Potential for Clean Water-- Lisa Blazure

-- Strategic Choices for Restoring Riparian Corridors-- Matt Ehrhart

-- New Research on Buffer Establishment Methods-- David Wise

Participants can do one or both sessions.
