Tickets now on sale for the October 15 virtual Wild and Scenic Film Festival hosted by the PA Resource Council and presented by the South Yuba River Citizens League. This online event features a series of thought-provoking and breathtaking local, national and global short films exploring the protection and restoration of wild lands and waters, food systems, climate change, biodiversity, litter prevention, and much more. These films allow Pennsylvanians to witness how individuals and communities around the world are taking action, with the hope that they will become inspired to take action in their own communities. Along with the films, PRC will share highlights of their work this year and ways for you to get involved, along with some fun and games to cap off PRC’s 80th anniversary year. “PRC is excited to present the Wild & Scenic Film Festival for a sixth consecutive year with an exciting new format this year that will enable us to reach film fans living throughout Pennsylvania,” according to PRC Environmental Coordinator Stacy Albin. “This online, virtual event will feature a series of thought-provoking and breathtaking local and national short films exploring the protection and restoration of wild lands and waters, food systems, climate change, biodiversity, litter prevention and other global issues.” “The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is an outstanding example of how the art of film can influence us to become more active in the protection of our environment,” said Albin. “The festival offers individuals clear opportunities to engage with us and other organizations in pursuit of a cleaner and healthier environment.” Click Here to watch a trailer for the 2020 Festival.
