DEP Invites Comments On Draft Water Quality Assessment Methodology For 2022 Integrated Water Quality Report

The Department of Environmental Protection published a notice in the September 26 PA Bulletin inviting comments on the draft Water Quality Assessment Methodology for the 2022 Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment Report.

DEP will also accept comments on the new draft Stream Fish Assemblage Assessment Method. The Department will consider all comments regarding the data analysis protocols contained in this draft methodology.

Public comments are due November 9.  Questions should be directed to DEP’s Bureau of Clean Water at 717-787-9637.

2020 Report

The Integrated Water Quality Assessment Report identifies streams and lakes in Pennsylvania with impaired water quality and the reason for that impairment.

The 2020 Report is available online.
