Audubon Society Of Western PA Hosts Online Buffalo Creek Watershed Riparian Buffer Workshops With Free Trees In Armstrong, Butler Counties

The Audubon Society of Western PA is hosting a series of three online workshops in the Buffalo Creek Watershed in Butler and Armstrong counties to help landowners protect and enhance habitat and water quality on their property. All participants get a free tree! Participate in all 3 workshops to get 3 free trees! The workshops will be held at 5:30 on- -- October 15: Click Here to Register. Topics include-- -- Healthy Buffers, Healthy Streams - Sarah Koenig, Conservation Director, Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania -- Invasive Species: How to Identify and Treat Them - Andrew Rohrbaugh, Botanist, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources - Bureau of Forestry -- October 22: Click Here to Register. Topics include-- -- In-Stream Work: Best Practices, Woody Debris, and More - Ryan Harr, Watershed Specialist, Butler County Conservation District -- Managing Streams for Wildlife - Chris Kubiak, Education Director, Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania -- October 29: Click Here to Register. Topics include-- -- Clean Water Starts Here: Best Practices for around the Home - George Reese, Vice President & Certified Ecologist, GAI Consultants -- Stream Restoration and Streambank Stabilization - Maria Sorce, Watershed Educator / Program Specialist, Armstrong Conservation District Details on how to join the meeting will be emailed to you before the workshop.
