Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits.

Regulations -----------------------

No new regulations were published this week.  Pennsylvania Bulletin - October 31, 2020

Technical Guidance -------------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 31 PA Bulletin of draft Technical Guidance - Engineering Manual For Surface Mining Operations for comment.  Comments due January 24.  Click Here for a copy.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 31 PA Bulletin of the availability of amended NPDES General Permit for Operation of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (PAG-12).

            The permit will take effect January 1, 2021.  Click Here for a copy of the permit and supporting documents.

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 31 PA Bulletin of the proposed conditional State Water Quality Certification under Section 401 of the federal Clean Water Act for 58 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permits for comment. 

Comments are due to DEP by November 30.  Comments are due to the Corps of Engineers by November 14.

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published several notices in the October 31 PA Bulletin covering: grandfathered water withdrawal registrations, water use projects approved in September and water use projects approved with minor modifications in September.
