DEP Invites Comments On Stream Evaluation Reports In Carbon, Delaware Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 14 PA Bulletin inviting comments on stream evaluation reports for streams in Carbon and Delaware counties.

The streams include--

-- Carbon County: Middle Lehigh River Tributaries: The evaluation was conducted as part of routine aquatic life use assessments by Department staff. The evaluation includes the Bear Creek, the Nesquehoning Creek and the Mahoning Creek basins

-- Delaware County: Beaver Creek, tributary to Brandywine Creek: evaluation was conducted in response to a petition submitted to the Environmental Quality Board by the Beaver Valley Conservancy.

The reports will be posted on DEP’s eComment webpage.  Public comments are due December 14.
