Regulations -----------------------

No new regulations published this week.  Pennsylvania Bulletin - December 19, 2020

Technical Guidance -------------------

The Public Utility Commission published notice in the December 19 PA Bulletin inviting comments on policy changes needed to increase the reliability and resiliency of electric distribution systems from weather-related threats, including thunderstorms, floods, hurricanes, derechos and ice storms.

The Commission is specifically interested in exploring the viability of utility investment in electric storage as a distribution asset utilized for the purposes of enhancing or maintaining reliability.  Read more here.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the December 19 PA Bulletin of a final, revised Waste General Permit covering the beneficial use of liquid waste from fracking oil or gas wells (WMGR123). Read more here.

DEP published notice in the December 19 PA Bulletin of federal Coastal Zone Management consistency determination for National Performance Standards for Discharges Incidental to the Normal Operation of a Commercial Vessel for public comment.

PA Infrastructure Investment Authority published notice in the December 19 PA Bulletin of environmental assessments approved for water infrastructure project funding consideration for public comment.
