DEP Extends Comment Period On Stream Evaluation Reports In Carbon, Delaware Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the January 9 PA Bulletin it is extending the comment period until February 12 on stream evaluation reports for streams in Carbon and Delaware counties.

The streams include--

-- Carbon County: Middle Lehigh River Tributaries: The evaluation was conducted as part of routine aquatic life use assessments by Department staff. The evaluation includes the Bear Creek, the Nesquehoning Creek and the Mahoning Creek basins

-- Delaware County: Beaver Creek, tributary to Brandywine Creek: evaluation was conducted in response to a petition submitted to the Environmental Quality Board by the Beaver Valley Conservancy.

The reports are posted on DEP’s eComment webpage.  Public comments are now due February 12.
