Senate/House Bills Moving Last Week

The following bills of interest saw action last week in the House and Senate--

House

Limit Emergencies To 21 Days: House Bill 55 (Grove-R-York) proposing an amendment to the state constitution limiting emergencies declared by a Governor to 21 days, unless extended by the 253 members of the General Assembly was passed by the House and now goes to the Senate for action.

Flood Insurance: House Bill 70 (Warren-D-Bucks) establishing a Flood Insurance Premium Assistance Task Force was reported out of the House Insurance Committee and Tabled.

Agritourism: House Bill 101 (Gleim-R-Cumberland) providing for liability protection for agritourism businesses was reported out of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and Tabled.

Hardwoods Development Council: House Bill 110 (Causer-R-Cameron) further providing for the membership on the Hardwoods Development Council was reported out of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and Tabled. 

Senate

Limit Emergencies To 21 Days: Senate Bill 2 (Ward-R-Westmoreland) proposing an amendment to the state constitution limiting emergencies declared by a Governor to 21 days, unless extended by the 253 members of the General Assembly was passed by the Senate, went to the House, was reported from the House State Government Committee and is now on the House Calendar for action.

COVID Relief: Senate Bill 109 (Pittman-R-Indiana) would provide for $912 million in COVID relief aid to small businesses and others was passed by the Senate, went to the House, was reported from the House Appropriations Committee and is now on the House Calendar for action.
