Keep PA Beautiful Local Affiliates Encourage Recycling With Educational Videos

Keep PA Beautiful provided five local affiliates with grants totaling $20,000 to educate county residents by producing videos on the recycling and waste disposal services available to them in Western Pennsylvania.

The counties include Butler, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Westmoreland.

Every municipal or private recycling service, whether curbside or drop-off, has its own rules about what can be recycled. It's important for residents to know the rules and follow them to avoid contaminating the recycling stream.

Funding for the grants was provided by the Richard King Mellon Foundation.
